EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF NEW CLICKS HOLDINGS RESIGNS

Release Date: 2003/06/17

Cape Town – New Clicks Holdings today announced that Peter Green, an executive director and head of group finance, had resigned from the group with immediate effect.

Green has been with the group for 25 years and was appointed to the board of directors in 1996.

David Nurek, chairman of New Clicks, said Peter Green had made an invaluable contribution to the group, not only in the management of the finance division over several years, but also in the development of the group’s healthcare strategy.

“Peter has been instrumental in formulating our healthcare strategy and in creating the platform for the introduction of pharmacy into the group. Now that legislation has been passed that will allow New Clicks to implement the healthcare strategy, he feels it is time to hand over the responsibility for the implementation to our brand leaders and healthcare specialists. Peter has therefore decided to leave the group and will be moving on to new challenges,” said Nurek.

The New Clicks finance portfolio will in future be managed by Andre Vermeulen in South Africa and Trevor Harris in Australia, and will report directly to group leader, Trevor Honneysett.
